A SECOND student has been found dead in her room in university accommodation.

The body of Laetitia Hamilton was found at Northumbria University's Quay Point accommodation, in Newcastle, last Tuesday.

The 20-year-old was a marketing management student at the university.

She is believed to have died from a heart attack. An inquest into her death has been opened and adjourned by the Newcastle coroner.

It comes after the Chronicle last week reported on another student dying in her flat.

Elisa Naumann, 23, originally from Germany, was discovered on January 23 by her flatmates in her bedroom after they became worried of her whereabouts.

She was a first-year MA student at

Newcastle University and was studying Modern and Contemporary Studies, in the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics.

Staff at Northumbria University have today paid tribute to popular student Laetitia.

A spokesman said: "We are deeply saddened by Laetitia's death, and our thoughts are with her family at this time. …
