THIS was the magic moment a dream came true for schoolboy hero Mitchell Webb.

The Whitley Bay High School pupil met some of his favourite Toon stars when he was invited to the Everton match.

It was the perfect reward for the 14-year-old Newcastle United fan, who was treated to the VIP tickets after saving a blind man's life.

As reported in the Chronicle, Mitchell, 14, jumped to the rescue when fellow Metro passenger John Syrett fell on to the tracks.

As other travellers watched on in horror, quick-thinking Mitchell ran to warn the driver to stop the train before it crushed 41-year-old John, who is registered blind.

Mitchell's idols at St James's Park were so impressed by his life-saving actions, they invited him to the match.

He went along with proud dad Adam, 41, and enjoyed rubbing shoulders with his own heroes including Steve Harper, Damien Duff, Fabricio Coloccini, Jose Enrique, and former Magpies favourite
