BERWICK Rangers hit the four-goal mark for the first time in the league this season - but came away empty-handed.

"To score four away from home and not to get anything is a real sickener," said manager Jimmy Crease. "It really is disappointing but the fact remains overall they were the better team and probably deserved the win."

The Borderers boss added: "Individual errors probably cost us four of the goals and, in general terms, we were poor defensively - there is no getting away from that.

"The back four were magnificent against Stenhousemuir the previous week, but because of injuries we had to change things round a bit and then, on top of that, Fraser Forrest suffered a head injury in the second half and had to come off."

Graham Gibson fired Forfar in front four minutes from the break but McLaren equalised four minutes after the turnaround. A superb diving header from Ross Campbell on the hour mark restored the home advantage and Stephen Tullock added another on 64 minutes. …
