Plaza Almost Full as Tenants Move to CBD

IPSWICH City Plaza is 99 per cent full.

In a move that has inspired business confidence amid current financial turmoil, high-rise owner Trident Corporation yesterday confirmed the building only had space for one more tenant.

"We've got only one area left that's 100sq m," Trident Corporation Director Marcus Gaffney said.

"It's a huge change from when we bought it two years ago."

Trident Corporation bought the Ipswich CBD building between Bell Street and the mall from Tamawood Limited about two years ago.

It spent between $4-5 million refurbishing the building, putting in a new air-conditioning system and elevators.

Mr Gaffney said the latest tenant to sign up was Queensland Health.

"Queensland Health's lease is going through the public trustee for signing now," he said.

"It will be fit out soon and office workers will be there in about two to three months."

Beauty on Belle owner Gabrielle Pisasale moved her business into Ipswich City Plaza in October. …
