A Hollywood scriptwriter couldn't have done better.

An epic finale is on the cards in the hunt for Fraser Coast Cricket A-grade premiership glory this season.

With one round to play, four teams are still in the running to play in the grand final.

Adding more spice to the recipe is that the two teams chasing the minor premiership, Bushrangers and the defending premiers, Past Grammars, will lock horns with each other on D-day - deciding day, this Saturday.

While top-of-the-ladder Bushrangers and second-placed Past Grammars do battle, so will the two teams in third and fourth place, Cavaliers and the Coastal Cougars.

Both did their chances of playing in the final no harm at all with impressive performances on Saturday - both won and in convincing style.

Cavaliers secured first innings points against Bushrangers in the all-Hervey Bay showdown at Urangan's Keith Dunne Oval.

They then went agonisingly close to beating Bushrangers outright. …
