A Full Program of Events Planned for Australia Day
IF your local community group or organisation is holding Australia Day events, or running an Australia Day award program, the Sunshine Coast Regional Council is able to lend its support by co-ordinating joint promotions of your events or awardees.
You need to register your details with the Council today and your community event and/or Australia Day Award winners will be promoted through media outlets on Monday, January 26.

While on the subject of Australia Day celebrations, an all-day free event is being planned for Monday, January 26 from 10am to 9pm at Kings Beach Park, Caloundra, co-ordinated by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. participation is being encouraged from street entertainers, buskers, food and market stalls, multicultural groups, performers and bands with an Australian flavour, as well as community groups to run food stalls, games and activities.
A full program of events will be available on the council's website prior to the day but the day is set to include live music, roving performers, markets, food stalls, workshops and children's activities and a movie being shown under the stars.
If you are planning on attending the festivities, park and ride facilities are available with free shuttle buses running from the Transit Centre in Cooma Terrace from 9.30am.
