DESPITE being the youngest competitor at just 11 years, Natalya Diehm has walked away ranked fourth best woman rider in the country after a superb showing at the recent BMX Games.

The pre-teen boxed well above her weight producing 360s, no-foot can and tuck-no hander tricks to place fourth.

The competition had the best riders from across Australia, with many in the men's pro returning from the men's tour especially for the three-day event.

The young BMX rider from Boyne Island was up against riders who ranged in age from late teens to mid-twenties.

Natalya said that to perform so well was really pleasing.

She revealed she was not even sure if she would ride until she got down there with her dad, having received the plane tickets to the event as a Christmas present from her mum.

She was just going to have a look, but a day into it decided she would compete, she said.

Father Justin said he was "stoked" to see her there and performing so well. …
