The following is a compilation of reports from Beaches-area police departments:

ATLANTIC BEACH

- An armed man robbed the Acme Art & Tattoo Parlor at 25 E. Sailfish Drive about 10 p.m. Thursday.

A man wearing a hooded sweatshirt with pantyhose over part of his face entered the store carrying a black handgun. He demanded money from the tattoo artist who was working on a customer. The artist said the manager had removed all the cash from the store earlier that night. The robber then demanded money from the man in the store and the artist threw the robber his wallet. The robber took $15 from the wallet and ran off.

- A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with domestic battery after hitting a 24-year-old woman in the face with a dirty diaper during a dispute about 9:30 p.m. March 4 in the 100 block of West 11th Street.

The man started yelling at the woman as she was changing the diaper on a 7-month-old baby. As the fight escalated, he picked up the dirty diaper, threw it and hit her in the face. He then grabbed the woman and threw her down. The woman ran out of the home to a neighbor's house and called police.

- A 40-year-old woman was arrested and charged with battery after pulling a man's shirt off and scratching his cheeks and his chest during a dispute about 7 a.m. March 4 at a home in the 1200 block of Begonia Street.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH

- Burglars ran off with about $40,000 worth of jewelry Thursday after breaking into Espling Jewelers at 355 Marsh Landing Parkway.

The burglars entered the store by prying open the front door about 3 a.m.

- Three people were arrested Friday on auto and grand theft charges after they tried to steal a Kia Sportage at 1567 Third St. N. and punched the car's owner in the face when she tried to stop them.

The suspects, who couldn't back the Kia out of the parking space because the emergency brake was on, ran to their own vehicle and took off. The threesome, ages 35, 19 and 17, were identified by the woman and two witnesses.
