Rocky Girls Lead a Very Charmed Existence; Euro Jewellery Craze Reaches Fever Pitch despite Economic Crunch

ROCKHAMPTON'S Tracy Sweeney has been charmed by the new craze to hit the jewellery world.

Charm bracelets are back with a hip new modern look and it seems consumers can't get enough of the colourful Pandora range.

But the craze could also hit the hip pocket hard, with prices ranging from $30 each charm bead up to $1500.

Mrs Sweeney received her Pandora bracelet as a birthday gift from her daughter and husband and planned on collecting charms for different occasions.

"I thought it was a good idea because (my husband) is always struggling for gift ideas and now he can buy me charms," she said.

"Each one is different and reminds me of a special occasion or who bought it - it has its own story."

The Pandora range began the trend, but many companies have since released their own collection as well.

Mystique Jewellers in City Centre Plaza is Rockhampton's only seller of Pandora and has dedicated a special section of the store to the display of the beautiful jewellery. …
