IT is lucky Michael and Sarah Keech have good mobile coverage.

Because they do not have a landline service - not since a landscaper inadvertently cut through lines last Friday.

The error has left the couple's 65-unit Suncoast Resort in Maroochydore cut off from the electronic world since.

"We were advised it would be five working days to fix," Ms Keech said. "But it's now seven and we've now been told it is unlikely to be fixed before February 15 - but it depends on which Telstra operator you speak to."

The Keeches manage the units on behalf of its owners, who expect a regular payment through the rental.

"The owners are phoning (our mobile) wanting to know where their money is," Ms Keech said.

"(But) all the rooms, the office, the internet are cut off.

"We have been working off mobile phones.

"It's not a matter of losing business. We have contact with the owners.

"They could withdraw the contract with us. …
