FOURTEEN years ago Katrina Caton, of North Rockhampton, had the absolutely new experience of twins.

She was alrady mother for a four-year- old daughter when her doctor announced, "Mrs Caton, you are having twins!"

Katrina said she had contacted the Rockhampton Multiple Birth Association.

"The members were marvellous. They invited me along to their morning teas, which were held in their own homes.

"They were relaxed, informal gatherings that allowed you to see how other mothers coped," she said.

Katrina remained an active member of the multiple birth association committee until her twin girls, Olivia and Georgia, were about seven or eight.

The twins, now 13 (14 in August) are Year 9 students at The Cathedral College, where there are a couple of sets of twins and a set of triplets.

Olivia and Georgia said they remembered having fun at discos and picnics with other families from the Multiple Birth Association. …
