IN less than 30 days the backdrop of Boyne Island and Tannum Sands will play host to one of the nation's biggest extreme sports events.

That's right, the countdown has now begun to the 2009 Coconet Classic Classic which this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Organisers are buzzing with excitement as they set about finalising last minute preparations to the unique five day event.

And be assured this year's Coconet Classic will have something for everyone including the National Kitesurfing Titles; Skate, Scooter and BMX Competition; Riverside markets and the first ever music festival.

Coconet Classic event co-ordinator Danielle Straatmans said whether you enjoy competing in sports, watching some carnage, rocking out with Australian music royalty, or if you simply want to catch a bargain at the markets, the Coconet Classic has it all.

Ms Straatmans said Riverside Markets would run at Bray Park from 9am to 4pm daily to coincide with the skate competitions at the Boyne Island Skate Park on April 10 and 11. …
