Kyogle Man Murdered on the Sunshine Coast; Stabbed in Chest during an Alleged Argument in Unit at a Resort

AS news of the stabbing death of a 28-year-old Kyogle man at the Pacific Paradise Resort at Mudjimba on the Sunshine Coast filtered through to residents, the shock and disbelief were evident.

The victim had not been formally identified yesterday, but his name is believed to be Martin Love. He died shortly after 5am, a woman screaming 'help me, help, someone help' alerting people to the tragedy.

An off-duty nurse was one of the first to reach the home, but she was unable to save Mr Love, who was believed to work behind the bar at the Pacific Paradise bowl's club.

Mr Love is thought to have been stabbed once in the chest. Police could not confirm if it was a knife which was used in the attack.

Paramedics, police officers and detectives were at the home moments after the call for help was made.

A 29-year-old Mudjumba man was taken from inside the townhouse, handcuffed and driven to the Maroochydore police station, where he was charged with murder. …
