Double Act Takes All 10 for Harwood

HARWOOD cricket club's opening bowlers Kane Aeschlimann and Mark Vallette have destroyed the Westlawn batting line-up to claim first innings points at the Ulmarra Showground last weekend.

Aeschlimann and Vallette both grabbed five wicket hauls as Westlawn failed to deliver on its promising position of 0/33 at the start of the day.

Returning batsmen Brendan Purser (39) and Jason Chevalley (10) were only able to add ten runs to the score before the Aeschlimann (5/41) and Vallette (5/42) show claimed its first victim.

Daniel Amos added another 14 runs but it was just a band-aid on a leaking pipe as Westlawn's middle order collapsed under a barrage of wicket-taking deliveries.

Indeed, Aeschlimann and Vallette's dominance of the Westlawn batsmen was so complete, Harwood's other bowlers failed to have a shot at the crumbling Westlawn batsmen, with the opening duo claiming 33 of the 41 overs. …
