Julie Brims won't be sitting around enjoying a few chocolate eggs this Easter.

Instead she'll be racing at the Masters National Titles in Adelaide, which is being held from April 9 to 13 over the Easter long weekend.

Brims, who grew up in Maryborough, has her eyes set on breaking a world record at the national titles, along with three other women from New South Wales.

They will be competing in the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay and while Brims isn't too confident of setting the world record this time around she says it will be good practise for the World Athletics Titles for Masters, in August.

"Maybe we'll set it then," she said.

Brims is looking forward to competing at the world titles, which will be held in Lahti, Finland.

Last year Brims broke the world record in the 4x100m race in the women's 35-and-over category. She is looking forward to the opportunity of taking the world record in the women's 40-and-over category this year. …
