CHARLOTTE Willshire's destiny was evident after her first dance lesson, at the age of three.

"I remember after my first lesson, I started crying in the car and mum was wondering what was wrong. She thought I didn't like it. I was crying because I hadn't wanted it to end," she said.

Charlotte, now 13, is still passionate about dancing, and after 10 years of dedicated study and training is about to audition for the first intake of students at the Australasian Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Melbourne, the famed Russian ballet company's first international training venture.

Sticking to the strict training regime of the much-admired Russian dancers should not be a problem for the disciplined, young, straight-A student, who rises at 5.30am daily to squeeze in full-time dance study with her high schooling.

She has danced full time with Caloundra's En Point Classical Ballet Coaching for the past year, completing her Year 8 studies by distance education in the afternoons, evenings and early mornings. …
