MORE and more people are moving from the city to the country. When these people move it is called a Sea Change or a Tree Change when they are moving to the bush. This article considers why this move from the cities may be happening. In particular, reasons for Casino's growth are discussed.

The Northern Rivers area is one of the fastest-growing places in NSW. Who would not want to live in such beautiful countryside with a temperate climate? Our town of Casino is no exception. For a town of about 11,000 people, it is a sign of growth to have three major grocery stores, the latest being Aldi.

Casino is developing as a centre for exploring the Northern Rivers. Another major development in Casino recently is the Motor Home Village. People are living in Casino in their motor homes or houses at the village as a base for exploring our region. But not just the Motor Home Village makes Casino what it is. …
