FORGET the death of chivalry, sportsmanship is dead.

If the umpire isn't looking, do you take the chance to sneak in a little push and shove, an elbow here or there?

Here I was thinking that's bad sportsmanship.

Maybe at just 21 I'm old fashioned.

Chatting to an Australian indoor netball player on Wednesday night he told me he would do anything to keep the other team from winning in a tight situation.

Despite the fact his team had just lost by one goal because a member of the other team shared and actioned that same disposition.

Hence I've figured the mentality these days seems to be: "If you can get away with it, keep doing it."

It's an attitude that is completely unsportsmanlike conduct and a defeatist attitude. …
