Sometimes it can be very frustrating living with kids.

Why don't kids think to get the washing in when it looks as if it might rain? And why don't they get it in when it is raining?

Why don't they notice that the dishwasher needs loading/unloading, that things need to be picked up, that their uniform is screwed up on the floor, that the basin is full of hair and toothpaste, that the toilet paper is all gone, etc etc etc.

Why don't kids remember to do their homework instead of watching the TV, playing on the X-box, talking to their friends on the phone, using the computer etc etc etc.

Sometimes it can be frustrating not being a kid.

Why can't I concentrate on what I'm doing and not notice that it is about to rain?

Why can't I enjoy my friends so much that it makes me forget to worry about what we are going to have for dinner?

Why can't I remember how good it is to be home and how wonderful my family is without noticing the clothes on the floor, the dishes in the sink, the mess in the bathroom, the bags in the doorway etc etc etc. …
