THE first wave of recruitment has started for Prime Trust's new aged care facility in Buderim and is set to boost the Sunshine Coast employment market, eventually providing jobs for 120 people.

Now officially named Buderim Views Aged Care, using Hibiscus Aged Care as a working title for the construction phase, the facility is due to open next month.

According to facility manager Di Weeks, advertisements have appeared for key management positions within the facility.

"We are aiming to create the finest aged care facility on the Sunshine Coast," she said.

"Demand will be highest for trained personal care workers and professional nurses. There will also be positions for laundry and cleaning staff.

"A qualified diversional therapist dedicated to supporting the lifestyle and wellbeing of residents will be one of the vital positions at Buderim Views."

The new facility, located next to Buderim Gardens Retirement Resort at 383 Mooloolaba Road, will also provide demand for services from allied health professionals such as speech pathologists, podiatrists and physiotherapists. …
