THE wait is over for the Interdominion grand final. This race is set to go down in history as one of the best line-up of pacers assembled. The barrier draw has aided the chances of a few, let's look at them individually. Start time is 9.05pm today.

Blacks a Fake: One of Australia's best pacers. Going for four straight Interdominion championships. Drawn to run them off their legs here. He won his first heat a fortnight ago then a disappointing second here last week. Only question is if he will lead them over the 2609m trip. One would think he wouldn't have a drama in doing so, but if doesn't he could be in traffic along the pegs. I'm tipping an all the way win.

Our Brahman Boy: This is a massive rise in class on recent efforts however he ran an eye-catching third in the second round of heats here last week. Will start at good odds if you like his chances.

Washakie: Western Australian campaigner. Game win three starts ago at his first look at a Queensland racetrack. Placed in his two heats here and is likely to be running on into a place at the end. Comes from a leading Queensland stable of Luke McCarthy. Place.

Changeover: New Zealand pacer coming from the astute Geoff Small stable. Is the only horse to defeat Blacks a Fake in this series when sailed along the sprint lane late. He won't have that opportunity today but could show up if he has the last scorching sprint at his rival of last week. Each way value chance.

I Am Sam: One of two runners from the Natalie Rasmussen stable. Grant Dixon who is one of Queensland's leading reinsmen to take the drive. Will be going forward at the start. Sat in the death seat last week when third to Auckland Reactor. Rough place hope.

Gotta Go Cullen: Handy sit sprint pacer for leading NZ trainer/driver Tony Herlihy. Hasn't been beaten far in his heats, drawn wide today but looks as though he will be one of the ones running on at the finish. …
