CHAMPIONS Brock Experience added to its $7 million showcase this week with "The Beast" making its debut.

Owner Peter Champion and motor racing legend Harry Firth proudly launched a working replica of the infamous race car known affectionately as The Beast at Queensland Raceway on Saturday December 6.

Mr Champion said the 1971 Holden LJ Torana GTR XU-1, which is now proudly on display at Champions Brocks Experience, was faithfully restored as a tribute car of the original, which Harry Firth confirmed was definitely destroyed many years ago.

"Harry Firth, who launched Peter Brock's legendary race career, and built the original Beast, was not only there for the launch, but actually took the car for a couple of laps around the raceway." He said.

" Firth, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, was spritely around the track and made the most of the thrilling opportunity."
