YEPPOON: JOSH Cummins was making the most of the school holidays, riding his new bike and having a sleepover at a friend's place.

Just two days after Christmas, the 13-year-old woke to find his bike, which had been parked down the side of his friend's house, was gone.

The BMX bike had been a combined birthday and Christmas present, and understandably Josh was devastated.

"When I rang up mum I was crying, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't at home," Josh said.

Josh relied on the bike for his transport over the school holidays.

The owner of the house where Josh was staying, John MacQueen, heard about the bike being stolen and decided to help out.

For days they drove the streets to see if they could find the missing bike, with no luck.

A regular fundraiser for Legacy, Mr MacQueen then decided to hold a raffle to raise money to put towards buying Josh a new bike. …
