ROCKY, get ready for alternative acoustic folk capturing a diverse mix of rock and pop all wrapped into one live performance.

It's the Dear April EP launch and the three-man band is heading to the Beef Capital to share a fresh new beginning for the band.

After changing their name from the Dan Acfield Band to Dear April earlier in the year, Dan, who is the lead singer and acoustic/electric guitar player, said they had taken off.

"We started writing more and more music together, and we have been a lot more proactive, so it's a new beginning for our band," Dan said.

The musician, who grew up in Rocky, said he could not wait to get back and reunite with old school friends and family.

And of course - make a live appearance on stage for a stellar performance introducing music from the band's first album.

"The launch was a huge success in Brisbane and we can't wait to give Rocky a taste," Dan said.

Dan was always destined to become a musician. …
