AFTER three strenuous days of collecting evidence, forensic investigators were finished with the murder scene on North Street, Rockhampton, late yesterday.

Gutters were searched and more forensic material was taken from the apartment at 4/24 North Street where Roy Springham was stabbed to death this week.

Regional crime co-ordinator Detective Inspector Jon Wacker said no suspects had been identified nor had a motive for the murder.

"It's bit hard to say it's a random attack, the offender could be known to the victim or could be a complete stranger," he said.

Detective Inspector Wacker wouldn't comment yesterday about the weapon used to kill Mr Springham.

He said some of the residents at the Sunny Cove apartments, owned by Anglicare, had been questioned by police again yesterday.

Detective Inspector Wacker has appealed for anyone who saw a person leave unit 4/24 North Street on Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning to come forward. …
