Tennis tournament

THE Tannum tennis club will hold its first Sundowners Tournament today starting at 4pm and tomorrow at 2pm.

The event is open to all members and invited guests and to youngsters.

Participants can enjoy nibblies tomorrow and there will be a barbecue on Sunday (BYO meat) and there is more than $600 in prizes on offer.

Book launch

FOR those who want to know more about Gladstone's history, today's book launch in the CBD might be just the ticket.

Councillor Matt Burnett will launch Bett Laver's new book "Gladstone - Book One: The Discovery and Settlement" at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum at 11am today.

No CBD markets

THE Library Square Markets will not be on today.

They will recommence on December 13.

Market day

IF you are looking for some markets across the region this weekend, everyone is welcome at the Causeway Lake Market, near Yeppoon, tomorrow from 7am until 1pm.

There will be a variety of stalls, entertainment, food and drinks. Enjoy a beautiful atmosphere within the tranquil setting.
