Festival of nine lessons

THE Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held on Sunday, December 14 at St Saviour's from 7pm. All are welcome.

St Peter's carols

CHRISTMAS Carols at St Peter's is on again this year at 50 J Hickey Avenue, Clinton on Sunday, December 21 at 7pm. This is a great family night when all children present are invited to participate. Supper will be provided.

Memorial service

The annual Christmas Memorial service will be at The Uniting Church, Dixon Drive on Sunday, December 7, at 3pm.

The service gives the opportunity to celebrate the part that loved ones who have died played and still play in our lives. For many, it is also part of the ongoing healing process.

Christmas tree

Once again the Anglican Parish of Gladstone will be holding a Christmas Tree festival at St Saviour's Church, Auckland Street.

The festival will be opened with the 'Turning on of the Lights' on Thursday, December 11 at 7pm and will remain open between 4pm and 8pm daily during the Christmas period.

Local talent Clyde Cameron, Diana Maynard, Brent Lanzon and St Peter's Orchestra and Singers will entertain on the opening night.

Surviving the future

A SERMON, 'Survival in a World Almost Controlled by the Beast', will be delivered by Dennis Martin at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Tudman Street, on December 6, from 11am.

Volunteers needed

VOLUNTEERS are needed to spend time with the residents of Domain Parklands. Divisional therapist Mackay is able to supply anyone who is interested with volunteer packages. Phone 4975 7800.

OUR local Christian radio station needs help. We can help by our prayers and becoming financial supporters. All we have to do is to sign up for membership. Family $57, single $57 and pensioner/student $22. One-off donations are most welcome.
