OVER the past couple of weeks a number of local junior players have trialled for a place in the New South Wales Country teams that will compete in January's Pacific Coast Slam, and Albury's Country Cup.

After a rigorous selection process, the names of those players selected have finally been released. They are: under-18 men - Petnoy Wosnich and Chris Tonks; under-17 men - Joel Brennan; under-15 men - Blake Kelly, Joe Madden, Daniel Borbajo and Brock Dries; under-14 men - Chris Hartsuyker and Arnad Hadjic; under-18 women - Jerica Lacey and Sammy Cooper; under-17 women - Brittant Ainsworth and Liza Goulding; under-16 women - Tiarne Saunders, Alex Galbraith and Nicole Howarth; under-15 women - Jessi Reeves; under-14 women - Jayden Ainsworth, Georgia Martyn and Alyson Willmott.

Coffs Harbour Basketball would like to congratulate all those players who have been selected and also those who made the effort to trial.

*Head coaches required

AFTER no applications were received for head coach roles in the U11/12 boys, U15/16 boys and girls and U17/18 girls, the Committee of Management has agreed to extend a final call for these positions in the hope these age groups will be able to participate in the upcoming odd age series.

Coaches are encouraged to apply and Coffs Harbour Basketball will ensure they are mentored and have the necessary support for taking on these roles.

While initially the role may seem daunting we ask that those interested contact Coffs Harbour Basketball to discuss the positions and any concerns they may have.
