IF you have always wanted to take a class and broaden your knowledge horizons but have lacked the time, pack up your lunchbox and join the new education revolution in Bundaberg - Lunchbox Learning.

Learning Network Queensland Bundaberg centre co-ordinator Judith Hopwood said Lunchbox Learning had been a success in 2008 and something she wanted to expand on it in 2009.

"I looked at doing it as a lunch thing to suit parents and retirees and business people, so they can do it at lunch time," Mrs Hopwood said.

"We are trialling the time slot."

So far the classes at TAFE have been going well, with many students relishing the opportunity to learn a variety of new information technology skills - the latest class offered being how to buy and sell on eBay.

While class participants Valma Prince and Shirley Oakman have no intention of making their living using the internet auction phenomenon to make their fortunes, both have relished the opportunity to soak up a bit more knowledge. …
