Outstanding Student from Russia with Love

FOR Olga Spengler, it was like something out of a fairytale.

As the Russian student arrived at the University of the Sunshine Coast for the first time, the sight that greeted her was kangaroos boxing on the green grass.

"I didn't think something like this really existed. I'd seen it in fairytales but it was a really amazing experience," the 23-year-old said.

"I knew on the first day it was the right choice to come here."

Olga, who was born in Russia but began her university course in Germany, decided to do part of her business course on the Sunshine Coast, after a USC representative delivered a presentation to her English language class in Augsburg.

"Australia seemed to be a country that has great growth potential, so I thought it would be very interesting for me to come here," Olga said.

Her decision to study on the Sunshine Coast certainly seemed like the right one last night, when Olga was given three awards for excellence in her business course. …
