Imaginative Exhibits Express Young Views

AN ARRAY of imaginative interpretations of the lives of year seven students are proudly displayed in Brassall State School after 10 weeks of planning, writing and construction.

Year seven students were asked to write an autobiography detailing eight episodes in their lives and create a project which illustrated their interests or personality.

Four of the students - Priyanka Naiker, 12, Brock Reed, 12, Katie Houweling, 11, and Samantha Gerchow, 12 - displayed incredible thoughtfulness in both their writing and displays.

Katie made a bookshelf from a nappy box and pieces of wood with her stories written in the books.

"I like reading in my spare time and I guess the bookshelf was the first thing that came to my mind," Katie said.

Katie said she had only written seven stories so wrote two about her holidays; one in Redcliffe and the other to Dreamworld.

Samantha's project, The Times of My Life, was packaged inside a clock with triangle sections for her stories. …
