WE all know that bigger does not always mean better and nowhere is this axiom more true than in art.

For those cursed with too much good taste and not enough cash to fund it, Grafton Regional Gallery has the perfect exhibition for you.

The Prentice Postcards exhibition features postcard-sized works of art from some of the gallery's leading artists.

The art on show ranges from sculptures to paintings in oil and watercolour and includes works from well-known local and regional artists.

It's world-class art on a middle-class budget

Artists who have donated pieces this year include Archibald winner Wendy Sharpe, Gordon Bennett, Ken Smith, Robert Moore, Noel McKenna, last year's JADA winner John Philippides, Jenny Sages and Bronwyn Bancroft.

The exhibition runs until May 24, when the artworks are auctioned off to raise money for the region's premier art competition - the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA). …
