Weigh to Go Leanne; Survey Finds 9 out of 10 Women Worry about Their Shape

A NEW survey has revealed that nine out of 10 women worry about their weight - but Leanne Tracy isn't one of them.

The online survey has revealed the majority of Australian women were unhappy with their body shape and weight, while two out of three struggled to even look at themselves in the mirror.

But Ms Tracy claims feeling good about how you look on the outside starts with developing how you feel on the inside.

The Ipswich resident and mother-of-two spent her Labour Day in the gym in a bid to tone up after spending a year indoors on the chilly South Island of New Zealand.

But she said doing body combat, Pilates and kung fu classes was not just about keeping herself fit - it was about beefing up her self-belief too.

"I am happy with myself but that has been a long process," Ms Tracy said.

"It does not take five minutes for a person to learn to believe in themselves."

She said her 13-year-old daughter often worried about her weight and believes teens are particularly under pressure from the constant supply of magazine images of airbrushed beauties. …
