NATALIE and Ken Ezzy, who last week said in the Daily News they were disappointed with the council's removal of ornaments from the Warwick Lawn Cemetery, have started a petition to have the ban revoked.

From last week, all ornaments were required to be removed from lawn cemetery sites in an enforcement of an existing council local law to make the maintenance of gravesites easier.

As reported last week, the Ezzys' son William is buried in the baby section of the lawn cemetery.

He has several personal ornaments on his grave, as this is the only way some members of his family can show they care because they do not live in Warwick.

"We went to the cemetery on Monday and it was the first time we had taken Jess (their four-year-old daughter) to the site since the ornaments had been removed from the grave next to William's," Mrs Ezzy said.

"She got quite upset... Ken has refused to take the ornaments off William's grave. …
