Fans Sink Teeth into Fang Film; New Twilight DVD Could Be the Year's Biggest Seller

VAMPIRE loving Ipswich teens have been sucking the words from the pages of the Twilight novels for the past few years with an appetite their fanged hero Edward Cullen would be proud of.

Now the thirst for the blood-sucking romance is proving stronger than ever as the film adaptation flies out of the stores like a bat out of hell.

Bridget Kenny, 13, is hoping to join almost 270,000 Australians who have bought the DVD of the hit teenage vampire flick in its first week in the shops.

The Twilight series recently topped the Ipswich Library's list of the most borrowed books and it looks like Ipswich residents will be sinking their teeth into the movie as well.

"I will definitely buy it," Bridget said.

The film has already been the highest selling release of the year for JB Hi-Fi Riverlink, selling substantially more copies than any other movie.

Manager Jason Barker said while Twilight was targeted at a mostly female market, it had reached a much greater audience. …
