A STUDENT will be taking to the catwalk on TV after being spotted while she was shopping.

Scouts saw Stephanie Eddy in the MetroCentre, at Gateshead, and now the 22-year-old will appear on the new series of Britain's Next Top Model.

She will also fulfil a lifelong dream by appearing at London Fashion Week in September.

Stephanie, of Wideopen, North Tyneside, is studying at Northumbria University's business school, but she has done a number of modelling jobs on a parttime basis.

She said: "It's a bit of a shock to win it really.

"I was just shopping in the MetroCentre and someone suggested I should enter the competition they were holding there.

"Some girls had entered over the internet, but there were a few of us who entered on the day. I'm delighted. It's every girl's dream to be involved in London Fashion Week.

"I have done some modelling part-time - charity fashion shows and things like that.

"I would love to do more of it and I'm really excited about going down to London. …
