GLADSTONE has been rewarded for a good representative season with eight players making the Capra squad.

Capra's assistant coach Richard Duff, of Gladstone, said the region was rewarded for its success.

"Absolutely, by winning the tri-series they have shown that they deserve a good representation," Duff said.

He said the side had been selected on form. with "a

great mix and a good bunch this year".

"Everyone earned their spots; (I) think it's the first time in a long time that there are no bolters or anything like that," he said.

Duff said he was looking forward to the senior state titles next month where they will compete at Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast.

Gladstone Raiders coach Aaron Farrar said he is happy with the region's representation in the side.

However, he was concerned and a little disappointed there were players who did not play representative league who made the squad. …
