* A SMALL fire was lit on the front veranda of the Yamba Museum on Sunday. Two young females were seen running from the scene. Investigations are continuing.

* A 43-year-old Gulmarrad man was arrested and charged with assault on Sunday after police alleged he spat in the face of a female from Maclean.

* A RED Holden Commodore was stolen from the front of a residence in Yamba Road, Yamba, on Saturday.

* ALSO on Saturday, a residence in Yamba Street, Yamba, was broken into and a motor vehicle stolen from the garage. The vehicle was recovered soon after in Grafton. Two males were seen running from the vehicle. A forensic examination has been conducted on the vehicle and the residence.

* A 44-year-old Yamba woman was issued an infringement notice on Saturday after police alleged she failed to leave a licensed premise in Yamba when requested.

* A 26-year-old Yamba man was issued an infringement notice on Saturday. Police allege he was the holder of a learner's permit and was driving a motor vehicle on Yamba Street, Yamba, without supervision.

* ON Saturday, a young male entered a liquor store in Yamba and stole two bottles of bourbon. Closed circuit television surveillance has been viewed and investigations are continuing.

* TWO males drove to Reedy Creek reserve in Yamba in a gold 4WD on Saturday and stole a weather vane from a post.

* A 19-year-old man from Yamba was issued an infringement notice after he was seen by police urinating on the outside wall of a licensed premise in Yamba.

* A 50-year-old man was issued a field court attendance notice and his driver's licence was suspended on Friday after police alleged he drove on Iluka Road while under the influence of alcohol.

* ALSO on Friday, a 19-year-old man from Yamba was arrested and charged after he allegedly behaved in an offensive manner outside Yamba Police Station. …
