BASKETBALL: Rockhampton Stadium Nightclub Rockets captain Tony "TC" Campbell yesterday declared himself a certain starter for tomorrow night's blockbuster against the Mackay Meteors.

The defending state and national champions face their toughest test yet in this year's QBL when they travel to Mackay this weekend to take on the red-hot Meteors in round eight action.

Campbell, 34, missed the Rockets' 98-83 victory over the Caboolture Suns at Hegvold Stadium last Friday night with a hamstring injury, but the veteran guard said yesterday he was ready to return against arch-rivals Mackay.

"The hammy's fine. I've been working on it this week and haven't felt a thing," Campbell said before an afternoon shoot-around.

The news isn't as good for Rockets starting guard Glenn Scott, who is expected to be sidelined for the third straight game with ankle ligament damage.

A decision on Scott's return will be made today after last night's practice, but Rockets coach Neal Tweedy is prepared for the worse. …
