McSweeney in Cruise Control; All Traditional Folk Songs and Anonymous Bush Verse Are Emotional Time Capsules

Article excerpt

WELL-known Queensland entertainer John McSweeney seems to have been performing forever, but that can't be possible as he is only 66 years old.

Having recently recorded his 30th album, titled Cruise Control, John has decided to slow down a bit.

John has recorded quite a few sing-a-long albums that have done extremely well, recording sales of many hundreds of thousands in the UK and America, with the Asian market now in his sights.

Also in the pipeline is a DVD of 100 songs recorded at the Kedron Wavell Club.
