CALATHES MIGHT FACE MORE DECISIONS

We know Nick Calathes is leaving early and won't be back with the Gators. But we don't know where the 6-foot-5 point guard will be playing pro ball.

Last month, Calathes signed a two-year deal with an option for a third year with Greek basketball team Panathinaikos.

But he remains eligible for the NBA Draft and could be selected late in the first round.

Complicating matters, according to the ESPN.com draft expert Chad Ford, is that Panathinaikos recently signed another guard, Sarunas Jasikevicius, a former Maryland player and two-year NBA veteran.

"If that happens, Calathes isn't getting nearly the playing time he thought he would," Ford wrote. "If Calathes gets drafted high enough, he may try to convince the team that drafts him to buy him out of his contract now, so he can head directly to the NBA. There isn't a provision in his contract for a buyout until next year, but maybe there's a solution that will make sense. …
