I AM a 70-year-old Newcastle man living in Yorkshire, who has become interested in Genealogy, and at the moment I am putting together a family tree. My name is Brian Shore, and I am anxious to trace descendants of the following family members.

I would like to trace descendants of my uncle Dennis Shore, and my aunt Doreen Shore, who I believe married a Mr Tom Carr.

My uncle and aunt's parents were William Edward Shore and his second wife, Hannah, who lived in Pease Avenue, in the West End.

William Edward's brother, David Shore, who lived in Fenham with his wife Eliza, and his daughters Freda, Winnie, and Sylvia, are another family group I would like to contact.

William Edward's first wife Emily (nee Dunn) died in the 1900s, but I knew her sisters Mary Dunn (known as Polly) and Helen Dunn (known as Nellie).

Polly was a spinster, and Nellie was married to an Eddie who was a butcher. They had a daughter Audrey, who in turn married, and had a daughter Pauline. …
