New Travel Centre Sure to Satisfy All Appetites; Plainland Complex Set to Open in August

A UNIQUE travel centre at Plainland worth $11.5 million will be ready to open on August 11.

The centre not only features a Caltex Star Mart which will open 24 hours - but also a unique mix of fast food stores.

The outlets include The Coffee Club, Subway, KFC and Hungry Jacks.

The centre also features a Lockyer Valley Regional Council tourism information centre and a playground area.

It is also one of the few centres to have both a Hungry Jacks and KFC drive-through function.

LJ Hooker Commercial Toowoomba CEO Mike Stewart said a Plainland Travel Centre building would be air-conditioned with inside seating as well as outside seating available.

"It is an unusual mix of tenants, but it is going to be very popular for families and sporting teams travelling to and from Brisbane because the choice is there," Mr Stewart said.

"Plainland is now the western extremity of the Ipswich and Brisbane corridor. …
