ANDREW FLINTOFF is "very aware that he stuffed up" after missing part of a team bonding trip to Flanders last weekend and throwing England off course at the start of their Ashes campaign.

All-rounder Flintoff, who has only just rejoined the squad following knee surgery and is bidding to prove his fitness for next week's First Test against Australia in Cardiff, failed to appear for the bus that took captain Andrew Strauss and all the other players on a trip to the First World War trenches at Ypres.

Flintoff visited a war graves cemetery with the rest of the squad the previous day and also attended a team meeting after the trenches trip. But his no-show on Saturday morning, following a private squad dinner the previous evening, has resulted in unspecified disciplinary action.

Two years ago, Flintoff was suspended for a World Cup match in St Lucia after the infamous Pedalo Affair and the spotlight is on him again ahead of England's warm-up match against Warwickshire. …
