HE'S a sharp shooter with a World Cup winner's medal under his belt.

But the chances are you will never have heard of him.

Mark Dunville is a professional paintball player for the top UK team, London Nexus.

The 28-year-old flies to the capital every weekend to train with his teammates and has competed in tournaments across Europe. He is the only professional player north of London and won the World Cup in Toulouse, France, last year, beating Philadelphia Americans to lift the trophy.

His teammates are currently at Disneyland Paris defending their crown, but Mark has had to stay at home in Washington, nursing a knee injury.

But despite his sport not grabbing the headlines, Mark is proud of his achievements.

He said: "I started playing when I was 11 in a friend's back garden. I enjoyed it so played a few games in Northumberland and was asked to join a team. I played a few tournaments and have worked my way up the ladder. …
