POTTSVILLE captain/coach David Lonie believes today is the day his men stamp their authority on the Football Far North Coast First Division.

The Panthers' opponents are the Woodburn Wolves.

"It's a top-of-the-table clash and they boys are really looking forward to it," Lonie said.

"We're all fired up, ready for a big one, and shouldn't have a problem if we get stuck into it as we know we can.

"Dropping a game we never should have was a needed wake-up call, and now we're ready to show everyone how dominant we should be by convincingly beating another top-three side.

"We want this win so we can start pushing away from the pack."

Having suffered Premier League relegation in 2008, Pottsville have had an unprecedented start to their 2009 campaign, boasting eight wins in their opening nine games and a massive +32 goal difference (40-8).

"Honestly I'm not really happy with the goals against," Lonie said.

"They've generally been pretty sloppy goals, but then that's what happens when you don't have a specialist goalkeeper. …
