I WOULD like to contact anyone from the North East, who was at RAF El Firdan Egypt. This closed in 1955 so we are all aged over 74 now.

I am in contact with some from the North East now, but there where many more. I was a cook in No2 Airmen's Mess. We have an annual get together in the North East, usually in August.

I AM trying to find someone from the 1950s: Mr Terry Carter, of 8 The Knoll, Weston Hill, Sunderland, County Durham.

He was in the RAF at Syston Aerodrome, Newark. The last time I saw him was 1955-56.

I am M from Nottingham. Mr and Mrs Shacklock, 30 Rosegrove Avenue, Arnold, Nottinghamshire, NG5 8DU WINDLESTONE Hall, Rushyford, near Ferryhill, is the former family home of the Eden family, which included ex-Prime Minister Sir Anthony Eden.

From 1958 until 1980 it was used as a boarding school to treat asthmatic children. …
