Partner Struggles for Fatality Clues

THE devastated partner of one of the men killed in last weekend's car crash at Toolooa has pleaded with the public to come forward with information on the crash.

The woman, who asked only to be identified as Lindy, said she was struggling to understand what happened to her partner and needed answers.

"There are too many unanswered questions about Craigus's death," she told The Observer yesterday.

"I am pleading with the public in Tannum Sands and Boyne Island to come forward if they know anything - any little bit of information will be helpful."

Her partner, Craig Mordeaunt - known as Craigus, was due to have turned 44 on Friday.

The first she knew of the accident was via The Observer's coverage of the accident, which she only read last Tuesday, three days after the crash.

After looking at the photo, she recognised the buckets in the car, which he used for his job as a painter, and contacted police.

"I am totally devastated, in disbelief," Lindy said. …
