TIM TEBOW FACES QUESTIONS FROM CELEBRITY GOSSIP MILL

It seems that Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan aren't doing enough to keep the celebrity gossip mill busy.

So, Tim Tebow has apparently become the next target. The big question for the celebrity Web sites appears to be whether Tebow has a girlfriend.

TMZ.com, a celebrity gossip Web site owned by Time Warner, posted a 30-second video of Tebow at Los Angeles International Airport. Tebow, who was signing autographs for fans, was interrupted by the TMZ staffer.

Tebow said he didn't have a girlfriend and showed his media savvy when dodging questions on where he might be spending his free time in Los Angeles.

Tebow was in Los Angeles this week for a taping of the ESPYs, which will air tonight on ESPN. Tebow won the award for best male college athlete for the second year in a row.

BECKHAM RETURNS TO BOO BIRDS

David Beckham heard the boos every time he touched the ball in his return to the Los Angeles Galaxy on Thursday.

His play was lackluster, and Landon Donovan, who publicly criticized Beckham for being a bad teammate, scored a goal and assisted on another in the 3-1 win.

But the two soccer stars buried the hatchet in a meeting, according to a Reuters report. Donovan called their chemistry "fantastic" in Beckham's first game back.

Considering the rift between Beckham and Donovan, which was revealed in detail by Sports Illustrated reporter Grant Wahl, it seems like a tall order that they can truly mend the relationship.

But after a strong showing at the Confederations Cup, U.S. soccer is about more than getting than biggest stars to come from Europe to the MLS.

Beckham is a nice sideshow, nothing more.
