NO PAY? NO PLAY

The economy has cost people and businesses jobs and money. It's also keeping the Florida Firecats out of the postseason.

The team was removed from the af2 playoffs because it owed the arena football league more than $200,000, according to a report in the Fort Myers News-Press. The Firecats (7-9) had earned the eighth and final seed in the playoffs but will now be replaced by the Albany (N.Y.) Firebirds.

UN-WELCOME MAT

Not only did Tony Romo dump Jessica Simpson, it appears the Dallas Cowboys quarterback wants to make sure the couple doesn't reconcile.

USmagazine.com reported that Romo banned the blonde singer from his Dallas home and posted a sign near the entrance: "RED ALERT! …
